Sally Warren is a Life Drawing artist working primarily in paint, ink, pencil, conte & chalk, although she also expresses her love of the nude figure in printmaking and sculpture. She is inspired by the transient moment, the sensual nature & the personal expression of the body. Though mostly figurative, her work exhibits abstraction too, drawing parallels and juxtapositions with other earthly objects. Sally holds an honours diploma in Material Arts from the Ontario College of Art in Toronto and more recently attended courses at LaTrobe College of Art and Design in Melbourne, Australia and NSCAD University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Sally Warren’s work is in private collections throughout Nova Scotia and Ontario. She teaches Life Drawing and works as a consultant in Museum and Gallery Education and Programming throughout the Maritimes.
