Nuri Guerra is a visual artist working in a variety of media and subject matter. She has illustrated two books.
She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art and Art History at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 1996. She has completed courses in metal sculpture at San Diego State University; children’s book illustration under Kathi McCord, and painting at the University of California, San Diego; as well as life drawing and pastel under Ken Goldman at the Athenaeum School of the Arts, in La Jolla.
Nuri has been the recipient of numerous awards including first place in San Diego Watercolor Society, and juried exhibitions including the Krakow Print Biennial, Poland in 1999.
