Betty-Anne Gaetz

 

Betty-Anne Gaetz is a Nova Scotian visual artist working predominantly in oil, acrylic, and egg tempera.
Her subject matter includes landscape, still life, and human interaction. Her work is characterized by its expressive impasto, layering and a pastel palette which imbues all her work with an idyllic light.

Betty-Anne began her love of art at a early age, though she chose to join the Royal Canadian Navy and study secretarial work. It was not until later in life, that she rediscovered her passion for art and began studying under several artists and at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.
As a dedicated artist since 1976, Betty-Anne has been featured in numerous exhibits and inpublications. She has taught regular painting lessons and workshops in a variety of media, as well as art in public schools on Baffin Island.

Her paintings are in private collections in Canada and the United States.
