Judith J. Leidl is a Master Printmaker and visual artist working in a variety of media including: acrylic, watercolour, collage and intaglio. Judith’s work while representational in nature, contains a strong abstract component. Landscape, still life, and figures are characterized by exuberant colour, movement, pattern & texture; a dream like world both in the literal and figurative sense, luxurious and exotic. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and a diploma from the Kootenay School of Art in Nelson, BC. Judith is currently an instructor at the Faculty of Arts in Acadia University, Wolfville, NS. She has taught at the Nunavut Arctic College, and been the Graphic Arts Advisor for the Pangnirtung Community Print Collection, at Uqqurmiut Centre for Arts & Crafts from 2001 to 2007. She has been Visiting Artist, Artist in Residence and Lecturer at various art colleges across Canada and in Bermuda.
