Diana Baldwin

Diana Baldwin is a visual artist working in watercolour, pastel, etching and dry point.
Her artwork consists mainly of still lifes and landscapes, characterized by delicate lines, profuse pattern, and minimal colour combinations. She prefers printmaking techniques that emphasize line, yet have soft edges, such as soft ground and dry point. Drawing inspiration from nature and man-made designs, her pieces speak of our complex relationship to the landscape.

Diana received a BA in Geography from St Mary's University and later a BEd from Acadia. Having no formal art training, she credits most of her art background to studying work in galleries throughout the world. As part of the Mahone Bay Printmakers since 2009, she has been studying printmaking under the tutelage of Edward Porter.

Diana teaches art to children in public school and private workshops. She exhibits regularly in solo and group shows, and her work is in collections throughout Nova Scotia and Canada.
